Artificial Intelligence Company posts Executive Summary for Intelligent Web Site called True Thinker

Introduction

The development and growth of both artificial intelligence (AI) and the World Wide Web have produced a proliferation of non-interchangeable theories and computational models without a common algorithmic foundation. Along with this "theory-glut", there exists an overload of surplus and extraneous information, the "info-glut" familiar to all Internet users. The industry's solution to "info-glut" has effectively created yet another problem-a plethora of internet tools, a “tool-glut" - which continues to exacerbate the problems associated with effective use of the Internet.

Ai3inc's IntellisiteTM, generically branded by Ai3 as TrueThinkerTM (www.TrueThinker.com), is a uniform, unique and novel solution universally applicable to all problems of glut. As an application of the AutoGnomeTM, which is the company patented approach to both Synthetic Mind/Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality, TrueThinkerTM functions as a like-minded replica (a MINDCloneTM) for the human user in Virtual Reality. Hence, TrueThinkerTM has provided a disruptive change by transitioning from AI in the Web to the Web as AI.

This disruptive transition appears radical as a first impression; thus it may seem to be only an interesting novelty for certain early adopters. It will, however, rapidly emerge as an obvious necessity for any user if they expect that their time spent in the space of the internet is to be productive, effective, economical and efficient and, of course, personally satisfying.

The Company
As It Is, Inc. ( “Ai3”), a provider of augmented or artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, is in the process of commercially launching the inaugural iteration of www.TrueThinker.com, the world’s first intelligent web site, based on the company patented, revolutionary AutoGnomic™ technology. During its initial rollout, the company intends to acquire subscription, sponsorship, advertising and licensing revenue, while simultaneously demonstrating the unique power of True Thinker throughout the global market place.

TrueThinker.com has completed several phases of a successful beta stage with input from heavy Internet users, marketing professionals, IT experts, search engine developers, and business executives from various industries, as well as every-day internet users.

The company, a private Nevada “C” corporation formed in 1999 with executive operations in Amherst, New York, currently has 12 employees. Ai3 will be competing in the emerging AI-enabled knowledge industry and is rapidly emerging as a solution of choice to the problems of info-glut in our internet-driven society.

The company has the exclusive, perpetual, global license from its technology development affiliate, AutoGnomics Corporation, to commercialize the AutoGnomic™ technology. Hence, it has implementation control over the currently issued patents which are the result of a three-year joint development effort between AutoGnomics Corporation and Unisys Corporation. Unisys funded a $5+ million demonstration project which successfully proved the AutoGnome™ technology in several of its in-house applications; it remains a passive equity shareholder in the company.

Within the AutoGnomic™ specification, Ai3 anticipates perfecting a projected 1000 patents and/or related proprietary IP over the next seven years. Overall, Ai3inc has the key ingredients needed to aggressively and successfully launch TrueThinker.com, foster continued growth of the technology and assure exceptional returns to investors.

Products

Ai3 is the developer of www.TrueThinker.com, a growing suite of products based on an artificial intelligence technology which effectively acts as an autonomous agent (proxy) for the human computer user in interactions with the virtual world of the Web/Internet (virtual reality).

TrueThinkerTM, with an embedded form of Ai3’s AutoGnomic™ technology, is an intelligent website (IntellisiteTM). With a user’s training, the AutoGnomeTM will grow into a likeminded replica (a MINDclone™) of the user acting in virtual reality.

As TrueThinker.com is trained, it will learn, remember, form knowledge, create ideas and introduce a user to like-minded individuals with whom it forms or joins e-communities for the user. With its emerging maturation (growing intelligence/knowledge), it will virtually manage a majority of the user’s web resources and direct the user’s business. All of this will be done autonomously, without the user's need for hands-on operation of the computer, but always under the user’s optional supervisory control. Eventually it can transcend into being the user’s delegated virtual mind transacting in the virtual world.

TrueThinker.com, upon completion of the first full buildout, will have three basic functional capabilities: knowledge organization (learning), knowledge creation (thinking), and knowledge applications (acting). With its unique and novel (i.e. the Web as AI) foundation for these functionalities, TrueThinker.com will evolve into the ubiquitous product that transforms the computer into an effective learning, thinking and acting machine.

In the current version, TrueThinker.com has three prime components -- MyTrueThinker, MyKnowledgeBank and MyCommunities. The MyTrueThinker webpage serves as a Daily Dashboard or homepage that users can personalize as their portal to the internet. MyKnowledgeBank is where users manually or automatically via their trained AutoGnomeTM store their selected relevant and valued information for easy retrieval. MyCommunities is where users or their trained AutoGnomesTM join or organize groups of people or their AutoGnomesTM with the same social, business, research or other common interests in order to share resources and hold discussions, publicly or privately.

Near-term improvements to the current version include: An autocategorization function (the functional coding is completed, but is not fully integrated into the website) whereby, based solely (no user participation) on automatically identified similarities in content, the AutoGnomeTM will create new categories of potential relevance to the user’s interests. Also, to be included will be a TrueWikiThinker function – i.e. a group document writing, editing and publishing feature combined with the ability of both the group and each member thereof to self-generate their own public (web) page.

The forthcoming version of TrueThinker.com will incorporate knowledge creation (thinking) via a product (the functional coding is completed, but is not fully integrated into the website) which facilitates the thought process by finding similarities and differences between a stated problem or query and other seemingly unrelated topics and, on that basis, suggests “new” concepts to the user. Adjoined to this function, TrueThinker.com’s re-search facility will autonomously find relevant information related to a MINDClone’s independent ideation and store it in MyKnowledgeBank for the user’s future use. And finally, TrueThinker.com will autonomously build communities based on degrees of similarity among selected components of individual TrueThinker KnowledgeBanks.

TrueThinker.com obviously has a broad spectrum of applicability apart from its key marketable functionality as an individual's mirrored Intelligence/Knowledge. This includes specific knowledge applications, some of which at present are either conceived, on the drawing board, or under initial development as future products, such as the following:

As an intelligent Knowledge Development Management System it should become the adjunct of choice for --Learning/Teaching-Training as a 24/7 autonomous intelligent agent (imagine you are a student having your own tutor or a teacher with your own personal assistant, all the time, anywhere) and as a Knowledge Management System, e.g. for turning an actual physical event, such as a once-a-year conference, into a continuing online virtual event for all participants through a parallel TrueThinkerEventCommunity

As an Autonomous Scientific Intelligence it is widely applicable to developing a positive solution to hard-to-solve problems, e.g. the general area of Data Harvesting (Mining) in Bio-Med Informatics and to Prediction/Forecasting, e.g. in Business and the Markets.

Market and Market Size
TrueThinker.com

Ai3 has identified a wide, growing target market for TrueThinker.com. Research, focus groups, informal key informant exchanges and the interactions with seasoned communications and core technology teams from Manning Selvage and Lee, Corecubed and Media First, three prominent marketing, communications and public relations firms with a customer base of domestic and international technology clients, have provided affirmation that this is exactly the right product, with the right features and benefits for the continuously growing market of Internet users.

TrueThinker.com’s target market will consist of heavy Internet users in the general populace as well as business Internet users.

The entry below is the Pew Internet Project's contribution to "Trends 2005," a publication of the newly-created Pew Research Center, a research organization that combines several analytical projects funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts. Taking a look back at adoption of the Internet in the past decade, the Pew Internet Projects finds:

“For the most part, the online world mirrors the offline world. People bring to the Internet the activities, interests and behaviors that preoccupied them before the Web existed. Still, the Internet has also enabled new kinds of activities that no one ever dreamed of doing before–certainly not in the way people are doing them now. For example, on a typical day, 5 million people post or share some kind of material on the Web through their own Web logs (or “blogs”) or other content-creating applications; at least 4 million share music files on peer-to-peer networks; and 3 million people use the Internet to rate a person, product, or service.

While the share of internet users who report positive impacts has grown, the sheer size of the internet population also continues to increase. Surveys fielded in 2006 show that internet penetration among adults in the U.S. has hit an all-time high. While the percentage of Americans who say they use the internet has continued to fluctuate slightly, our latest survey, fielded February 15 – April 6, 2006 shows that fully 73% of respondents (about 147 million adults) are internet users, up from 66% (about 133 million adults) in our January 2005 survey.”

Ai3 also conducted an informal focus group study with corporate CEOs from the Western New York region who operate successful business with revenues ranging from $4 million to $50 million annually and discovered the following:

· All of them stated that they are spending a minimum of 25% of their time using the Internet for the purpose of trying to collect information to grow their business.

· They also all expressed frustration regarding the amount of time they spent compared to the relevancy of the useful information they gathered as a result of the time committed.

· Most of the participants pay for sites or tools that could enhance their efforts as Internet users and they had become disillusioned with the results, the training time it took to get acclimated to the product/service and the lack of an impact the product/service had on their business.

These focus group meetings were conducted with CEOs from a wide range of companies. Each CEO provided similar responses related to the amount of time they spent on the Internet. At the conclusion of the study each CEO had the opportunity to review the product description for TrueThinker.com. Each one specifically asked to be provided with the opportunity to beta test the product and to be included as an early adopter. Each CEO felt that TrueThinker.com would save them a minimum of 25% to 50% of the time they and their employees spent on the Internet and directly discussed how TrueThinker.com could be viewed as a business product that would put productive hours back into their companies.

An excerpt from an article in the March issue of Fast Company titled “Why Is This Man Smiling” clearly identifies one of the needs and marketing messages that will be built around TrueThinker.com as it evolves during the first year of this plan. This excerpt clearly supports the value of TrueThinker.com and supports the findings from Ai3inc’s focus group studies.

“What's more, studies show that users are disappointed with the current state of search and consider Google hardly any better than its rivals. In a blind study by the French linguistics scholar Jean Véronis and his students, Google and Yahoo tied for user satisfaction with their results, both scoring an embarrassing 2.3 out of a possible 5. About 28% of the time, users thought that all the search results they received from both engines were "totally useless." They gave fairly low marks of 2.8 and 2.9 even to the very first links listed by Yahoo and Google, respectively. About a quarter of the time, they didn't find what they considered to be even one good result from either search engine.”

Simply by using TrueThinker.com each subscriber will be able to train their own Mindclone™ to find relevant information and eventually have it search for relevant information autonomously.

Business Model

TrueThinker.com will be commercially retailed directly to the consumer through annual subscriptions at a price of $24.99. The initial target audience will be heavy internet users, scientists and researchers who collect large amounts of virtual data and need a well designed knowledge organizational tool. Ai3 will also employ a second business growth model based on the formation of profitable joint ventures with established organizations seeking the advantage their products can gain with Ai3’s AutoGnomic technology. Ai3 will seek venturing relationships with organizations that can bring capital and pre-established marketing and sales channels to the joint venture while Ai3inc brings the license for its AutoGnomic™ technology.

Technology

The 20th century saw the beginning of the evolution of learning machines from the growth of digital computers into statistical inference machines. For some, this is the crux of Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, AI research generally has yielded a plethora of foundationally and formally unrelated theories and/or models (with varied levels of success and failure in their applications), but it has not produced a common-explicable conceptual foundation (i.e., it has left a theory-glut).

Despite these many approaches to AI, including Automated Neural Nets, Genetic Algorithms, Fuzzy Logic and Fractal Mathematical computational approaches, AI itself has remained an elusive goal to achieve by means of a systems architecture relying on an implementation based on the digital computer paradigm (inputàstorage/transformationàoutput).

The networking of computers has in turn led to the World Wide Web (the “Web” or www) with essentially an unlimited growth of data/information (i.e. an info-glut). The Web is a system of interlinked, hypertext documents that runs over the Internet. A “document” is here used in the sense of an instance of a general “image system” (a system which “represents” an object for which it is the image to some observer; e.g. a noun which stands for a given object to a user of the language) including text, pictures or any multimedia image system (the notion of “image” is critical in articulating the Web as a “Virtual Reality”).

Proposed theories of the Web, like with AI, are also numerous and without a common foundation on which to build a mutual understanding of AI and the Web. The general form of the Web is a linear system of related other systems, but with these other interlinked systems being multimedia Image Systems. This Network of-Images view of the Web as a Virtual Reality provides a ‘natural’ experiential basis for grounding both theories of the Web and the historically predominant connectionist theories of Mind including neural-network analyses of brain processes and mental states. In contrast, the industry’s response to the info-glut problem has been an ever growing abundance of Web-access tools which ironically, to an average user seem to create yet another “glut” (a tool-glut).

The founders of Ai3 offer an approach intended to address a uniform solution to all of the foregoing problems of glut by way of an IntellisiteTM, an Intelligent Website. This technology is based on the explication of the Web as a Virtual Reality which is an image (sign, symbol, icon)–communication system. This is also of the essence of Mind. Hence, the company is advancing an approach to Synthetic Mind/Artificial Intelligence via a patented technology known as the AutoGnomeTM. The AutoGnomeTM (a self knowing system) is an Automated Inference/Inquiry/Intuition software exploiting digital computation in image systems which also provides an optimal approach to a General Theory of an Autonomous Virtual Society (Virtuality)—this being an autonomous universe of images in which image/communication is only among Virtual Minds (AutoGnomesTM).

The AutoGnomeTM then is a General Purpose System of Automated Inference/Inquiry software incorporating image-origination, image-storage (including retrieval), image-manipulation and image-interpretation (taken together, these functions are herein referred to as semiosis) . The AutoGnomeTM Architecture may be envisioned as multiple modules (perceptual, conceptual, and valuational) with each module coding a specific model of the formalisms of semiosis composed of the three modes of semiosis (monadic-the alphabet, dyadic-words, and triadic-meaningful discourse) and three inferential processes (deduction, induction and abduction). These recursive inference processes operate on three information stores (an experience store, a knowledge store and a valuation store), gain experience through connective agents (sensors, mediators and effectors [(actors]), and function (act) in both an inquiry cycle and a performance cycle. AutoGnomeTM 01, the version used in building TrueThinker.com, has been implemented as an initial and partial working version of the AutoGnome Architecture representing only about 10% of its complete Conceptual Specification. This first version is basically a general purpose pattern generation, recognition, categorization, prediction engine.

Marketing

Ai3inc plans to retain the services of the public relations firm, Media First which has offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, Manhattan, Cleveland and Chicago. Media First will create the media awareness umbrella for TrueThinker.com complemented by several initiatives to excite and maintain a total viral marketing campaign. The viral marketing will be enhanced by continuous blogs, the presentation of papers written by the Ai3 team for various symposia and conferences, and the exploitation and promotion of one of the more aggressive customer referral programs associated with any web-based product on the Internet. Subscribers will earn 50% of the subscription revenue received from their referrals throughout TrueThinker.com’s first year of customer acquisition. This makes TrueThinker.com a perfect funding source for large not for profit organizations as all they need to do is refer it to their members and collect a generous referral fee.

Media First will develop the following as part of the integrated marketing, public relations and communications plan:

· A defined list with collateral materials to reach the key influencers in the media

· A defined list with collateral materials to reach the key decision makers in targeted organizations and companies where TrueThinker.com will be marketed

· PR campaign to introduce TrueThinker.com to the consumer market

· Communications plan that accents, via press releases, each and every individual component of the technology as each new functionality feature is introduced

· Defined and implemented branding programs for AI3 and for TrueThinker.com

· Physical presence support for any presentations to major key influencers, at trade shows, etc.

· Gathering of customer testimonials

· Focus group meetings when necessary

· Participation in development and promotion of the secondary revenue model of selling advertising on the site once it is significantly populated.

· Targeted advertising campaigns to pulse and maintain the member acquisition goals

· Targeted “on the site” retention communications to reduce monthly churn

Ai3 has also retained the services of IBC. IBC has a client base which includes companies like Disney, HBO and Snapple. IBC will be working in conjunction with Media First on the development and implementation of a strong branding platform for TrueThinker.com and the supporting messaging. IBC will develop the product pitch as TrueThinker.com releases each version throughout the time frame of this plan and the supporting pitch, materials and sales campaigns that will be designed for each market segment to which the product will be focused.

Upon funding, AI3 intends to hire an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to manage the orchestration of the PR plan as well as the targeting and execution of marketing/sales programs directed at key market segments.

Pricing

The price for our products and services is established competitively. As AI3 expands its infrastructure in response to market and revenue growth, it will be able to maintain its pricing position based on its unique and novel technological capabilities and the related products and services provided. Over time, the relative price will increase as a measure of the growth and sophistication of the functionality of the products.

The business model of search engines like Google drives their pricing strategy. Their services are free, but their business model works by generating revenue or sales from advertising, banners, pop ups, and keyword purchases.

Ai3 will position TrueThinker.com as a service that consumers will pay for on an annual fee basis. The pricing will be kept below what research has shown that the market will bear, since Ai3’s focus is on populating the site for the longer-term objectives in this Business Plan--this can be accomplished by offering a superior functionality at a very affordable price. The combined functionality of TrueThinker.com compared to the low cost to the subscriber will amplify the value added proposition from a competitive perspective. TrueThinker.com will initially be priced at $24.99 per annual subscription.

During the course of the first year, the advertising business model will be utilized for a future implementation into the TrueThinker.com business. Eventually,TrueThinker.com will have the benefit of the membership model and the advertising/sponsorship model. First and foremost, the focus will be on cost-effectively populating TrueThinker.com with subscribers paying an affordable annual fee.

The research verifies that the time savings for TrueThinker.com’s subscribers will easily justify the pricing structure proposed throughout the time frame of this plan, especially for employers who can claw back productivity.

Exit Strategy

AI3’s exist strategy is to consider an IPO, joint marketing venture or one or more application spinoffs.

AI3’s best strategic plan, however, is to position itself to invite acquisition or be merged with a major internet search engine, media or software company. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo would be perfect suitors. AI3’s has already had some preliminary “get to know you” meetings with IBM, Hakia, and WikiPedia. The commercial launch of TrueThinker.com and the subscriber/revenue growth complimented by a strong PR campaign will certainly surface many opportunities with companies like these who know that their future growth and dominance depends on the incorporation of artificial intelligence into their strategic plans.
AI3 will be approaching major companies to discuss strategic partnerships and potential acquisitions after we reach critical mass. In view of the rapid growth of the market, the company anticipates that the most likely exit strategy is the acquisition of AI3 by a company wanting to capture its market penetration and customer base.
An acquisition of this type creates the likely (but there can be no assurance) scenario that AI3, once it reaches its goal of $60 million in revenue in three years, will be able to return up to 10x of the equity investment to its investors.
Additionally, AI3’s ability to grab market share with its stable of technologies can place it in the position of acquiring other companies offering further opportunities for investment and return as it integrates research and development results into its model.

Why Ai3?

TrueThinker.com will be the first public application of Ai3’s technology and will start to provide the revenue and the global exposure Ai3 needs to achieve the implementation of its ultimate business model. Ai3’s longer-term goal is to achieve its substantial revenue projections by managing a portfolio of licenses and relationships with affiliate companies where business/equity positions are gained through the exploitation of its business model.

Ai3 exclusively controls the licensing rights for the patented AutoGnome™ technology. Ai3’s business model will materialize as it licenses the technology into proven trillion dollar verticals (medical, health, environment, energy, business, financial, educational, social and economic development.) via licensing to the leaders in each defined vertical who will subsequently create hundreds of sub-licensing opportunities. An extension of this business model will be the potential for many joint ventures with entities who already have well established marketing and sales channels into a strong customer base.

AI3 has an extraordinary opportunity to introduce a truly effective new technology, which the company expects to be universally accepted and used worldwide. As the products are introduced to an expanded market, the company expects to experience a high growth rate.

AI3 has the following in place to achieve its objectives:

·Skilled management team with capabilities to penetrate and maintain a leadership position in the marketplace,

·Large market demand for the product (a thinking/learning machine not subject to the afore-mentioned glut issues) by business and consumer Internet users alike,

·Patented stand-alone technology that will be extremely difficult to replicate,

·Technology road map that guarantees a continuous release of “intelligent” products for years to come,

·Relationships that will lead to numerous near-term licensing revenues, patent/intellectual property origination and protection program, and

·Exceptional earnings potential.

Why TrueThinker.com?

Excerpt from the New York Times, March 1, 2004 by Steve Lohr

Mr. Gates (Microsoft) scoffed at the notion advanced by some, that the computer industry was a
mature business of waning opportunity. In one question-and-answer session, a student asked if
there could ever be another technology company as successful as Microsoft.
"If you invent a breakthrough in artificial intelligence so machines can learn,”
Mr. Gates responded, "That is worth10 Microsofts."

Through the product launch of TrueThinker.com, Ai3 is positioned to become that technology company by organizing, creating and applying knowledge in fostering global innovation!
